Our story
Built for the ten-minute walk between weather systems.
Solace Apparel started in 2016 in a shared studio space in the Los Angeles Arts District, founded by two former outdoor-gear pattern cutters who were tired of choosing between clothes that looked good and clothes that worked. The idea was simple: streetwear silhouettes, built with the material logic of technical outerwear.
Every Solace piece starts with a question — what is this garment actually for? A jacket has to survive a sudden downpour on the walk to the train. A pant has to bend at the knee on a bike and still look right at a desk. We design backward from that use case, then strip away anything that doesn’t earn its place. The result is a wardrobe that reads as minimal because it is minimal — every seam, pocket, and zipper pull is there on purpose.

Sustainability
70% of our fabric library is recycled or deadstock, and every shell fabric is bluesign®-approved. We publish our supply chain twice a year.

Quality Materials
Japanese ripstop nylon, YKK zippers, and cotton milled in Portugal. We test every seam to 20,000 flex cycles before it ships.

Limited Drops
We run four numbered drops a year in small batches. When a colourway sells out, it’s gone — we don’t restock for the sake of it.
